Why is children, youth and family safety, well-being and permanency so important to CERVE?
Safety: CERVE’s Family Visitation Center (FVC) program provides for and protects the physical/emotional/psychological safety of children, youth and families served by local and state agencies through skilled, competent and professional supervision provided by vetted and trained semi-professional and professional staff at each of our locations. As such, the Department rules, requirements and compliance measures are inherently integrated into the FVC program plan. When required, extra measures can be taken to provide a safe and secure environment for family visits as well as various client development/planning services that are referred for.
Well-being: CERVE’s commitment to the well-being of all referred clients is paramount. As such, CERVE’s FVC programming seeks to guard for and promote the well-being of each child, sibling group and adult family/kin member. The FVC program seeks to provide a detailed, thoughtful resource referral/scheduling/planning process, clean and orderly visitation settings and consistent and accountable reporting on each and every visitation referral by way of engageable family visitation center specialists. In doing so, the referral source can rest assure that necessary attention has been given to each of our client’s FVC service detail
Permanency: In seeking to provide for our client’s safety and well-being, CERVE strives to partner with the Department in fully addressing and assisting in successful permanency outcomes. Engaged FVC specialists and staff, appropriate programming reporting, and future growth and service expansion reinvestments into the FVC program will undoubtedly enhance the percentage of successful permanency outcomes in months- even years!
